Initio Default Controller Driver For Win7
Western Digital external USB drive comes up as 'Initio Default Controller' My 250GB external drive now comes up that way on both (Windows 7) desktop and laptop. I looked at on-line resources but the advice there varied considerably and wasn't helpful.
- Once it’s plugged in I get the usual ‘looking for device driver’ and then a message that some Initio default controller has been installed – yea! You know when you have one of those moments that make you feel both immensly happy, and terribly embarressed at the same time.
- Initio Default Controller Drivers Download In our share libs contains the list of Initio Default Controller drivers all versions and available for download. To download the proper driver by the version or Device ID.
- Initio Default Driver, free initio default driver software downloads, Page 3. Initio Default Controller Free; Initio Sata Driver. Runs on: Win2000, Win7 x32.
- I installed the windows 7 updates last night, ever since then my external hard drive is not showing up, its showing as a initio default controller, how do i fix this This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.

Initio Dvd Driver
I have a Win7 PC w/Sp2 and use two WD External HDs for storage. Today tried to connect one I haven't used for awhile to reformat and it doesn't show on Win explorer and when Driver installs it says Initio default controller is 'ready to use'. Researched for last five hours and WD site has a DL for a program that is supposed to fix (Doesn't) I found the Initio thing in the Device driver.. Uninstalled it, checked remove software... ran scan for hardware changes and it just adds it back! seems this SAME problem is mentioned in various sites..Including WD as far back as 2010! I have a tech tool for accessing old Hds but wanted to know if there might be a better way? Any help would be appreciated.
